Money Exchange
The official currency of Peru is the Sol (S/). There are bills of 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 soles and coins of 10, 20 and 50 cents as well as 1, 2, and 5 soles. It is recommended to exchange currency at banks and currency exchange agencies. It is also possible to withdraw money in soles or US dollars at ATMs, but the exchange rate is usually higher.
